Mpho Tulelo is a Senior Test Analyst at Inspired Testing. In addition to her test analyst responsibilities, Mpho is also learning about test automation and best practice. As one of the dedicated senior test analysts at the company, Mpho is part of a highly skilled team that provides quality testing solutions, and she thrives in her role.
She says, “The best thing about software testing is providing preeminent software applications that are bug-free. We do this by understanding the market, the customers or consumers, and the product, in order to provide the best possible user experience. We get to follow the best software testing processes using the best and latest technology. What’s not to love?”
For Mpho, the challenge of the job and working with leading technologies is just part of the whole package. She says, “I enjoy working and connecting with people from all over the world, sharing ideas, providing excellent solutions, and learning from other people.” She adds, “At Inspired Testing there is a great focus on training and employee development, and the company offers real flexibility. As a remote worker, she believes the support offered by Inspired Testing is paramount to her success as a test analyst. As a woman in a previously male-dominated space, she has a somewhat different perspective, and she appreciates the company’s dedication to diversity and inclusion. She says, “Things are starting to equalise in our industry and from my experience, if a woman excels at what she does, she gets the recognition she deserves.”
Outside of work, Mpho is family orientated and enjoys her roles as a wife and a mother. An avid Orlando Pirates fan, she loves going to local stadiums to watch her favourite team, and she also indulges in her creative side selling beautiful furniture in her spare time. In these endeavours, she says, “I am inspired by my late grandmother. She was such a big dreamer, she was creative, and she made things happen.”
Her advice to those looking to enter the tech field is to invest in studying towards your career, work hard, build great relationships, and never be too shy to voice your ideas. She says, “Be innovative and make sure you enjoy what you are doing.”
