Luke achieved P12 in the XCC short track after a crazy race. The sheer volume of mud took the racers by surprise as they struggled to get to grips with the conditions – and keep their grip on the track! Despite the less than stellar conditions, shocking visibility, and riders hitting the deck all around him, Luke was happy with his second row start for the XCO. The Olympic cross-country race did not go to plan with Luke unfortunately suffering a bad start when he slipped a pedal, followed by a poorly timed puncture in the rock garden as he fought his way into the top 15. This cost him precious time and he was only able to achieve P30 overall. Luke retains P9 overall and was ready to come back fighting in Italy!
