Luke took to the XCC short track in hot conditions in Araxa, Brazil. The second World Cup race of the season started off with a bang. The Brazilian fans love the sport and were as loud and enthusiastic as they had been a week before in Mairiporã. The XCC was a fast, tight race and Luke took 10th place overall, once again ensuring himself a good starting position in the second row for the XCO on Sunday.
The Araxa course was markedly different to the previous week’s. Wider and at the same time heavily technical, it also boasted fantastic rock gardens and some serious jumps. Luke fought his way up the field in what proved to be another gruelling, thrilling race filled with attacks, skirmishes, and raw power. Luke took 6th place, cementing his start to the season in emphatic style. The 2024 World Cup is shaping up to be a true test of the Titans!
