DVT's 2026 intake of graduates for the Launchpad programme
Earlier this year, AI-driven software engineering company DVT, a Dynamic Technologies group company, welcomed its latest intake of delegates into DVT Launchpad, a six-month graduate development programme. Aimed at preparing junior developers for professional consulting environments, the programme recently underwent significant changes to align it with evolving developments and industry expectations in AI.
Rose Allen, Head of Learning and Development at DVT, says, “Clients need developers who understand how software works as a whole so we’ve built Launchpad around strong engineering fundamentals first, and then layered AI capability on top. Because software does not exist in silos, Launchpad trains for context as well as tools.” This type of training is fundamental to building the next generation of tech leaders and is invaluable for the participants.
The programme is designed to elevate the careers of young tech talent, preparing them for integration into professional teams and setting them up for rapid career progression, leadership roles and success in the tech industry. They are trained in technical, interpersonal and business skills to ensure that they are well-rounded and valuable additions to the workforce.
The 2026 Launchpad graduates trained across frontend, backend and AI within a single integrated programme. They worked with Angular and React to deepen their backend skills in .NET and they applied AI concepts within actual development projects, guided by experienced engineers.
Launchpad graduates attend daily lectures and workshops, complete assessments for each topic and deliver three substantial projects that culminate in formal demos aligned to the core technologies covered during the programme.
Rose explains, “Launchpad is designed to stretch graduates. Clients often comment that they perform closer to intermediate level than junior. That credibility does not happen by accident. At DVT we prioritise continuous learning and development for all our employees and we expect that same mindset from our Launchpad graduates.”
Alongside technical training, Launchpad places strong emphasis on professional skills and consulting readiness. Communication, collaboration, client engagement and self-leadership are embedded in the programme. Graduates are also supported by mentors who are active DVT consultants, ensuring that the learning experience reflects real client delivery environments.
“Leadership development starts from day one. Consulting is about presence as much as it is about code,” Rose says. “We expect graduates to engage in client conversations, ask questions and take ownership early. Technical ability is important, but so is how you communicate, how you handle feedback and how you carry yourself in a professional environment.”
Past Launchpad graduates have progressed into senior delivery and tech lead roles within a few years of completing the programme, often taking on mentoring responsibilities early in their careers. “Our graduates are adaptable, willing to learn and they have an impeccable technical grounding. This makes them adaptable across different technologies and project environments, building the next generation of tech talent and helping to drive the industry forward,” says Rose.
