Successfully completing a graduate programme is an important step in growing and developing your career in ICT. Offering up-to-date teachings, both on-campus and as part of an on-site internship or learnership, with mentors and guest lecturers who are currently active in the industry, Dynamic Technologies group company Dynamic DNA has developed a relevant, professional syllabus designed to give graduates a head start.
Dynamic DNA Founder and Managing Director Prudence Mathebula says, “It is an honour to have enriched the lives of so many young, underprivileged learners. With the help of our clients, we have provided them with an opportunity to excel. We believe in inspiring and developing young people to ensure that they have the right skills to be more creative in solving social challenges through entrepreneurship and be gainfully employed in the ICT sector.”
While some graduates are fortunate enough to become interns or full-time employees at one of the Dynamic Technologies group companies that work closely with Dynamic DNA, such as CloudSmiths, Inspired Testing, and DVT, the graduates are also well prepared to enter into the workforce by joining other tech companies, as their time with Dynamic DNA will have given them the technical know-how and the soft-skills preparation that employers are looking for.
In addition to this, the Dynamic DNA programme places a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and ensures that all graduates are equipped to start their own business in their chosen field. Graduates are given the technical skills as well as an understanding of how to implement these practically, together with a sound understanding of good business principles.
Dynamic DNA’s vision is to grow the ICT sector, build a strong and capable workforce, and change South Africa for the better, one graduate at a time.
Charmaine Matheka is a Dynamic DNA graduate who gained invaluable experience working for DotModus (now CloudSmiths), before returning to Dynamic DNA to pay it forward as a Talent Assistant. She says, “Looking back on my experience at Dynamic DNA, there are a lot of highlights. When I first started with them, I had no idea that it really was the beginning of my career. I came to Dynamic DNA with the mindset that I was going to grab the opportunity and run with it, and I have never looked back.”
She adds, “I am from the township, and opportunities like this are very scarce. After I completed my NQF Level 4, DotModus employed me as a Recruitment Assistant. Two years’ later and I am back with Dynamic DNA as a Talent Assistant. I believe that nothing can stop you if you put your mind to something. I took my opportunity with both hands, and Dynamic DNA stayed true to their promise to me, gave me access to a career in the IT world, and built a responsible career woman out of me. Being a Dynamic DNA graduate truly changed my life.”
